During this week wherein we eagerly await Song Wars Volume 2, this is not so much a nugget as a golden block of ore found in a great fissure of the Adam and Joe mine.
There's even a brief reference to a tiny gob which is also featured in Song Wars Volume 1 (the bit where Joe gives so much of himself/cheats with his ringtones).

Delicious Lynch Lady Love and American Werewolf #AdamAndJoe
I saw American Werewolf in London on Monday night as part of one of the lovely double bills they show in what some ponces, among whom I number, call the PCC.
In order to include the right A&J nugget I need to preamble with this one so that the last bit in the second one references properly. It's not really important but it suits my ordered mind. I am insane.

This was from a show wherein the Text The Nation topic was childhood traumas.I would like to thank the man on Monday night who, in the half light of the upstairs auditorium, seemed to be a soul that might be reliant upon the cold slats of a London park bench for his nightly rest. He stumbled in front of the screen in his woolly bobble hat during the first sex scene, pleasantly preempting the London Bobby who does the same thing in shot during the second sex scene. There's nothing finer than apposite audience induced mirth when watching a beloved film.

I've done that "sir, you've made me so happy through my life" thing a couple of times. The first gentleman was gracious and respectful of the kind words but one grand hero of mine waited until I was hardly out of earshot before ridiculing me to his companions. I'm sure it was just embarrassment but I've not revered his work in the same way since.

Did You Find Everything You Were Looking For Today? #AdamAndJoe
This particle pleasures me on several levels.
Not only does it completely recreate every sojourn I've ever had into HMV but Adam deliciously references one of my guilty pleasures......a film I have seen on the big screen almost as often as Star Wars and that pursuit took considerably more planning than any of Mr Lucas' offerings as I feel pretty sure I was alone in this endeavour. It was regarded as a ludicrously self-indulgent tome but it's worth the big screen for the soundtrack alone. If you don't know the film I'm referring to it will be no determent to your cultural enjoyment of life. I do have the stupidly extended directors' cut on some dubious DVD somewhere.

Alternate Egyptian Future Dwellers be warned #AdamAndJoe
I don't visit this show with my earholes very often. It was recorded upstairs in a pub during Camden Crawl.
Joe was discombobulated by all the background noise for a start and of course, I'm fed up that I wasn't there (or even in London that weekend, if memory serves) to acquire a proper Stephen! t-shirt. It's a very, very funny show, though.

Chill Cake and Fish Fingers #AdamAndJoe
Adam and Joe's relationship is not so much about give and take as it is push and pull.
Adam is gracious enough to thank Joe for his half-hearted attempt to support a particularly stinky dead end he accidentally wanders into but Joe doesn't accept chill cake when it's offered to him.

Not Back Yet #AdamAndJoe
I've chosen to post this today because w a a a a y back in summer, Adam had hoped he would return to 6Music with Joe during this very month. It seems unlikely that this will happen. I feel we would have been told by now and James assured me he would blog something as soon as he knew.
Collins and Herring have been doing such a thorough job of seat warming that their lovely buttocks have left an indelible imprint on the 6Music chairs.
Some weeks have been more testing than others, like that weekend when this popped out of the DAB.
Happily, their feet are under the Western House tables firmly enough for them to handle this with aplomb................and so it continued....
I've made a point of not posting my daily byte while Collins and Herring are on air after I insensitively did so early in their tenure.That didn't go down well with one of the team as he rightfully felt undermined at a sensitive time. Of course, he would never have known of my tawdry existence if one of his more enthusiastic fans hadn't put his twitnick in a tweet to me but it's always worth remembering you cannot control the strange or meddling motives of everyone who uses the internet.
My motive is fun and nostalgia but if enough people tell me they loathe it, I'll stop.
Listen to Collins & Herring. You'll miss them when they're gone.
Aside: Surely 6Music will find a comfy new slot for them.
I'll be sliding an Adam and Joe spurt into the machine later on this afternoon.

First singles ever bought #AdamAndJoe
Just a tiny little clip here but it's sweet and once again demonstrates the polarity in Adam and Joe that ultimately drew them together.....blah, blah. Of course, Joe undermines his veracity challenge to Adam by revealing that Mr Bump was probably NOT his first single but a track on his first album....but that's why we love his annoying arse, isn't it?

Fan-Made Animation #AdamAndJoe
Adam and Joe have many talented fans who take the time to animate some of their silly waffle. I've linked Chris Salt's & Chris Bowles's awesome work before but there are several lesser known films out there.
The aspect ratios are all over the place in this post but I can't be bothered to tidy them up. Deal with it.
This might be new to some followers of Adam and Joe and it's enjoyable on so many levels (from Ross Phillips). Ross has provided y-fronts although we know that Adam and Joe usually do battle in the nude. Those pants remind me of the Treadaway boys but that's another story.
"Nutty Room" was Adam's Song Wars choice for the Electric Proms competition last year so there are several live action videos on YouTube but this is pure, unsolicited animation. For those of a sensitive disposition this animation was made from the original version of the song which, for rhyming purposes only, contains 'Patrick Swayse'. That was respectfully changed to 'Kevin Spacey' in more recent renditions.
If that seems too short to sate your Adam and Joe appetite today, you can take a look at Boggins. I'm sure I've seen that mike & background in another A&J animation but I can't remember where it was.
Good grief, you're demanding. Here's an interesting Stephen! alternative. The accents will melt your mind. As Buckles so aptly says in his comment "this is so obviously fake".
